Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What is the format of sessions?

Answer: After you schedule an initial phone consultation and determining we are a good fit, we can begin weekly sessions of 50 minutes, online via a HIPAA compliant platform.

Question: How much do you charge per session? What payment forms do you accept and do you take insurance?

Answer: Sessions start at $150 for individual therapy. Insurance billing is not available for now but superbills can be provided upon request.  Payment is due within 24 hours of ending of session. Sliding scale is available upon request.

Question: How does therapy work?

Answer: Therapy is a collaborative process — a space where you and your therapist work together to understand your experiences, emotions, and patterns so you can create meaningful change. In our sessions, we explore what’s been holding you back and identify tools to help you move forward. Sometimes that means talking through difficult experiences, sometimes it means learning practical skills — often it’s both. Therapy gives you a safe and confidential environment to practice new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating to yourself and others.

Question: Are sessions confidential?

Answer:  Confidentiality is extremely important and never compromised. However, there are a few exceptions due to state laws and ethics standards requiring therapists to report a suspicion of elder, dependent and child abuse or neglect, suspicion of intent to cause danger to self and/or threat to seriously harm others.
